This magnificent water jug is signed by Tiffany & Co, model number 19873M. This mark was used between 1947-56 under the directorship of Louis De Bebinn Moore.

A well proportioned sterling silver water jug of classic form, the rounded body rising from a moulded circular foot to a gently flared rim with a shaped pouring lip. The surface is plain and highly polished, centred with an engraved monogram.

The handle is elegantly drawn, with a subtle upward flick at the terminal, complementing the clean lines of the body. The restrained shaping and balanced proportions give the piece a composed and confident character.
