Diameter: 15.2cm (6in)
This is a magnificent pair of George IV wine coasters. This pair were made in London in 1824 by Robert Garrard and are of the finest quality being larger and heavier than most comparables from the period. However unlike many examples from the period these have a very elegant design.
The crest is that of the Wyndham family and the initials those of Mary (nee Blunt), Baroness Leconfield. Mary was the wife of George Wyndham, 1st Baron Leconfield from 1859
